The Friends of the Henry County Libraries, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that supports the library system and its endeavors. Since their establishment in 1998 the Friends have placed more than 10,000 books in County libraries, purchased the first ten computers for the McDonough branch, and helped to fund the Summer Reading Program, which benefits more than 7,000 children each year. Members of The Friends also advocate for the library, lobbying local officials to support the mission of the Library System.
