In celebration of Women’s History month, you can stop by Locust Grove Library on select Mondays to see a feature film centered on the achievements of notable women.
Note: All children under the age of 13 must be with an adult at all times regardless of the movie rating.

Mon, March 6th @ 5:30 pm (Women in Science): Hidden Figures (2016, PG)
Synopsis: Three female African-American mathematicians provide crucial calculations for NASA’s space race against the Soviets, all while dealing with the racist and sexist assumptions of their white co-workers.

Mon, March 13th @ 5:30 pm (Women’s Rights): Suffragette (2015, PG-13)
Synopsis: A working-class laundress in 19th-century London becomes radicalized when she meets a brave cadre of women who are fighting for the right to vote.

Mon, March 20th @ 5:30 pm (Women in Politics): On the Basis of Sex (2018, PG-13)
Synopsis: Young wife, mother and lawyer Ruth Bader Ginsburg battles the U.S. Supreme Court for gender equality and women’s rights. She works with the American Civil Liberties Union to argue cases on behalf of both men and women, demonstrating that discrimination “on the basis of sex” is unconstitutional. Her trailblazing work paved the way for her to become a beloved Supreme Court Justice.
