Assistant Branch Manager
Location: Hampton, Stockbridge
Responsibilities and Qualifications

Summer Program Aide
Part-time, temporary positions available at the Hampton, Locust Grove, and Stockbridge locations. Duties include but not limited to: assisting with children’s programs, setting up and breaking down rooms for programs and classes, shelving books, and assisting with general library tasks as needed. No library experience required. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, or be currently enrolled in high school. Apply in person at the branches listed above.

Library Assistant, Part-Time
Multiple openings: Stockbridge, Hampton, and Fairview
Responsibilities: assist library users with locating and using library resources and equipment in person, by phone, and by email. Check materials in and out, register new library users, and shelve books in proper order. Assist with library programs as needed. Provide general assistance to all library visitors. Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications: Associate Degree; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Two or more years of public contact work in customer service or related fields. Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and general knowledge of literature. Basic knowledge of computers and office equipment. A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Young Adult Services Specialist, Full Time
Location:  Hampton
Responsibilities: assist teens with library use and locating/evaluating books, databases, and other resources. Plan and present classes and activities for teens assist with programs for children and adults. Work in cooperation with schools and other agencies to support student learners. Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications: Associate Degree. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Three or more years of public contact work with children or teens. Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and general knowledge of young adult literature. Basic knowledge of computers and office equipment. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
