Library Assistant, Part Time
Multiple openings: McDonough, Stockbridge, and Hampton
Responsibilities: assist library users with locating and using library resources and equipment in person, by phone, and by email. Check materials in and out, register new library users, and shelve books in proper order. Assist with library programs as needed. Provide general assistance to all library visitors. Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications: Associate Degree; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Two or more years of public contact work in customer service or related field. Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a general knowledge of literature. Basic knowledge of computers and office equipment. A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Children’s Specialist, Full Time
Location: Stockbridge
Responsibilities: provide assistance to children and families in locating books, databases, and other library resources; plan and present storytimes and other educational programs for children from birth to elementary age. Serve as liaison to the community, including daycares and schools. Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications: Associate Degree; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Three or more years of public contact work with children. Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a general knowledge of children’s literature. Basic knowledge of computers and office equipment. A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Young Adult Services Specialist, Full Time
Multiple openings: Stockbridge, Locust Grove, and Hampton
Responsibilities: assist teens with library use and locating/evaluating books, databases, and other resources. Plan and present classes and activities for teens, assists with programs for children and adults. Work in cooperation with schools and other agencies to support student learners. Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications: Associate Degree. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Three or more years of public contact work with children or teens. Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a general knowledge of young adult literature. Basic knowledge of computers and office equipment. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
